Funny News: Unreal Tournament 2007

July 26, 2006: Unreal Tournament 2007

Not that we were the least bit worried that we'd seen the last of Unreal Tournament, but finally seeing the next game in the franchise up and running really set our hearts aflutter. Along with the updated name come a brand new engine, new game modes, new weapons, new characters, and plenty more ways to blow up your friends...

Crysis - First Three Levels FunnyGames, October 29, 2007
After more than 18 months of anticipation, Crysis is almost here. If all goes according to plan, this highly-awaited first-person shooter game will go gold in a matter of days, meaning that it's finished and headed for duplication and manufacturing.

But most of our new information came in an interview with id producer Tim Willits, who painted a somewhat clearer picture of a game heretofore described simply as a postapocalyptic shooting/driving hybrid. Rage is much more than that, he says...

...As seen in the many id Tech 5 demos and recent Rage trailers, driving will play a very large part in Rage. Over the course of the game, you'll accumulate several different vehicles that can be customized to your liking. In the latest trailer, we saw dune buggies racing on a desert track, armed with mounted Gatling guns and machine guns. Willits said these vehicles will become an extension of the player, so expect plenty of options for customization...>>
