August 14, 2006: Gothic 3 preview

...Although we probably only saw the tip of the iceberg of this game, the graphics looked wonderful. The Unnamed Hero was bad, big and wore very cool armor. His fire spells in the game featured some sizzling effects and the environments were alive with atmospheric details, like uppity humans hanging from poles. This is not like the Final Fantasy game.

Rather, itís the third game in a series weíve only just become acquainted with, and canít wait to get to know the game better. With its good looks, fascinating racial dynamics, intense action and absolute freedom, Gothic 3 game will let us unleash both our inner wusses and bullies when the game hits the shelves in November 2006.

Alone in the Dark Review FunnyGames, July 14, 2008
Many gamers are going to buy Eden Studios' Alone in the Dark and instantly take a liking to the game's all together different approach. Well, there are some very conspicuous similarities here: zombies in a mall, people getting eaten, that sort of thing. But if this game needs a disclaimer, then don't World of Warcraft developers Blizzard Entertainment need one disclaiming any perceived similarity to J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings? Or what about the hundreds of books, shows, movies, and games that borrow from popular culture? ...
