Funny News: Black and White 2 Review
October 25, 2005: Black and White 2 ReviewPeter Molyneux's Black and White was universally hailed as an innovative switch-up in gaming prior to its launch, and frustrated critics referred to it as a toy once they'd had a chance to see the depth of the title's gameplay. The design of the sequel, Black and White 2, seems to be a deliberate response to the denouncements leveled at the original game. The result is a more traditional, less open-ended RTS with some identity issues. Despite that, being a god still has as much appeal as it did back in the days of Populous. Lost: Via Domus Review (Xbox) FunnyGames, February 29, 2008You may be wondering if we really needed a video game based on the hit TV show Lost. While the show has a legion of fans, they've already got their hands full with the alternate reality game that went around and tons of mysteries still going on in each episode. But here comes Ubisoft with a licensed game, whether we like it or not. And frankly, unless you enjoy both light adventure games and the actual show, you'll probably not make it through this one. But for that narrow combination of fans of both, this can wind up being a pretty solid game...
...I'm not a huge adventure gaming fan, but I found that exploration and just taking in all the Lost-like stuff to be the best part of Via Domus. Solving fusebox puzzles by fiddling around with wiring is a significant part of your adventures...

Avencast section with alpha demo FunnyGames, January 10, 2006
Avencast is a top-down 3D fantasy role-playing game in the works at Austrian developer ClueTec Software. Our game section for this title is now online, serving up relevant information and the latest (though nearly a year old) alpha demo that allows you to play through no fewer than 7 levels and try out 22+ spells.
