SEGA announced that the Medieval II: Total War game for the PC has officially gone gold and will release on November 14, 2006 in North America. This visually stunning game spans four and half centuries of the most turbulent era in Western history and gives game players the reins to control and command the most realistic and epic battles ever seen in the real-time strategy game genre.

...The game was originally scheduled to be released during the 2006 holiday season, but it officially backed into 2007 at X06. Its predecessor, 2005's Forza Motorsport for the original Xbox, was also a victim of backpedaling release dates, finally making it off the lot six months after its initial launch date.
