Funny News: FlatOut 2 review
August 14, 2006: FlatOut 2 review...FlatOut 2, while not a major improvement over the first game, is still a quality demolition racer game. The addition of more content in each and every mode is certainly a plus for this game, and the driving still has a satisfyingly destructive vibe to it. It's just too bad that it doesn't have the same quirky, filthy vibe like in the first game. Fortunately, there are still plenty of lovable qualities to be found in FlatOut 2, especially if all you want is the same basic racing gameplay as in the first FlatOut, but with a lot more of it.
The Good: Cars and tracks wreck and deform wonderfully; new plenty of content to mess with throughout the career mode, stunt mode, and online playto the stunt mode; mostly good soundtrack; stunts can be a real hoot...

Xbox Live Arcade Update FunnyGames, February 27, 2007It has been weeks since anyone's paid attention to Xbox Live Arcade. Unless you're a hardcore fan of twenty-year-old remakes or add-on packs for expensive puzzle games, there's not been a whole lot to keep you occupied. Since Heavy Weapon, consider the release list the service has seen: Ms Pac-Man, Lumines Live Puzzle/Mission pack, Nothing, Root Beer Tapper, Paperboy, Nada. Not exactly gangbusters for Microsoft...
...This week MS announced several upcoming titles to assure that Xbox Live Arcade won't be quiet forever. EA is supporting the service with a new Wing Commander game and a rhythm game called Boom Boom Rocket. There's also the much anticipated release of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and the rumored release of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade game...

Mainstream gamers are now older on average than they have ever been. When you are single and unemployed, it is easy to play The Godfather for nine straight hours the day the game hits the shelf. When you are married, it becomes tougher. When you have kids, it might be impossible. It is difficult to slice some time for yourself. And in that slice, you have to carve a portion for gaming. It is no wonder casual games that require no more than 10 minutes to play continue to grow in popularity. This is why we are more likely to login to Call of Duty 2 on Xbox Live to play a quick five-minute Team Deathmatch and leave the Lobby."
