Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz > Sega's monkeys roll their way onto the Wii!
Sega rolled out a Wii version of Super Monkey Ball recently, and we had a chance to check out all of the monkey madness using the system's motion-sensing remote and nunchaku. There's not much that looks different in Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz, but its feel adds a new layer of fun when controlling AiAi and friends.

In the single-player puzzle demo, tilting the remote sent AiAi rolling in the corresponding direction. Slightly pointing the remote down rolled him forward, leaning it to the right or left initiated a turn, and adjusting it to the ceiling slowed him down and eventually sent him backwards. ...The new tweaks in the game go from bland to broken to pretty awesome. Pitchers get a new feature with a fancy name adaptive pitching intelligence. What is this space-age George Jetson gadgetry? Suggested pitches. While standing on the mound, the game suggests a pitch to you it's not cumbersome or annoying, but it is not really as interesting as its name.

Also more sparkle than substance is the online game. Sony has considerably beefed up its online offerings, building in league play that can simulate a season with up to thirty online players, and updating rosters through the season. But the actual games themselves are spotty and laggy and that is the death knoll for a game that relies so heavily upon timing...
