New edition of latest Ghost Recon game goes gold with original graphics engine, levels, PhysX card support.
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon series is poised to return to the platform from which it came, as Ubisoft today announced that Advanced Warfighter for the PC has gone gold.
Though it bears the same name and general story as the Xbox 360 hit, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter for the PC has a number of distinct differences. It was developed by Swedish studio GRIN, for one, and features its own graphics engine. It also sports all-new levels, a strictly first-person perspective, and support for Aegia's new PhysX processor. The PlayStation 2 and Xbox versions of GRAW were also substantially different from the heavily hyped Xbox 360 edition and received substantially poorer reviews.

Beijing 2008 - Olympic Games Review FunnyGames, August 4, 2008Beijing 2008 is as much a mini-game collection as Mario Party. Any of the dozens of events may test your skills as a button-masher, Simon Says expert, or rolling motion professional. It may sound or look like a game that was made for the everyman but was really made for one man (or woman): the kind that doesn't mind a little excruciating nonsense.
Take running and swimming, for example. As expected, you'll have to jam on the A and B buttons (alternately) to make your athlete run. That sums up your entire racing experience, minus the shoulder buttons which must be tapped to turn while swimming and must be held to start the race.
Chances are you have played a game like this before. The button-altering gameplay became a frequently copied commodity after Sega's Olympic titles popularized it in the 90s. If it was fun the last time you experienced it, you are probably looking forward to having it here. But there are a couple of problems to consider before diving into the pool.
First there's repetition. Before winning a race, the game can be a pain...>>

Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-earth II FunnyGames, March 11, 2006Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-earth II is a great game that improves upon its predecessor, utilizes some of the best graphics of any RTS today, and finally lets you fight anywhere in Middle-earth. And you can summon Tom Bombadil. He's the happy fellow above. It's just something you'll want to do.
If you played the first BFME game, you'll probably be surprised by how different this sequel is. First of all, the entire scheme of play has changed. Instead of one type of campaign mode available, you now have two. The first type is the Good or Evil Campaign single player mode.
This single player, which is unfortunately the most generic of the modes here, does away with pretty large elements of the first game ...
