It's been over two years since Blizzard Entertainment unleashed World of Warcraft upon the masses, and back then no one was sure how well the new MMORPG was going to do. We saw dwindling numbers in past MMO successes like Everquest and Dark Age of Camelot, and people were really unsure of whether a company who had previously delivered only strategy and action/RPG titles on the PC were going to do with an MMO.
As you probably know, it turns out that World of Warcraft was a smashing success. It was almost too successful for its own good, causing too many people to log on at once and lag every single server, all of which at one point were overcrowded. Since then, Blizzard has added dozens and dozens of servers, expanded its player base to 8 million people worldwide, and added quite a bit of free, new content that's mostly aimed at the high-level players. But it's been a long time and while a new dungeon every five or six months has been fun, Blizzard is finally releasing The Burning Crusade, the first expansion pack for World of Warcraft...

Rumor: 2 Gran Turismo race games for PS3? FunnyGames, October 1, 2006... Rumor: The interview allegedly says that the Gran Turismo debut on the PlayStation 3 will come in two forms, one called Gran Turismo HD: Premium and one called Gran Turismo HD: Classic.
Premium will feature "the full graphics power of the PS3" and include 30 cars and two courses, with the option to buy more of each later. There will allegedly be one mode--a casual racing mode--that doesn't include the typical GT gameplay of winning races and acquiring cars and medals.

Poker king Hachem wins in Vegas FunnyGames, December 20, 2006Aaustralian poker king Joe Hachem has pocketed nearly $3 million after winning the world's second biggest poker tournament. His victory at the Bellagio Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, earned him US$2.2 million ($2.8 million), reports The Australian newspaper.
He's very emotional, very humble and over the moon, brother Tony Hachem said.
The 39-year-old from Melbourne shocked the poker world last year by winning the main event of the World Series of Poker, pocketing $10 million.
He's a true-blue Aussie and everyone wants to take him on, his brother said.
But he's beaten the best players in America, some of whom have playing the game for 40 years.
He will play in the $US10 million Poker Stars Caribbean Adventure in the Bahamas next week before returning for the Australian World Series at Melbourne's Crown casino.
