October 25, 2005: Civilization IV risesSid Meier's latest strategy-sim takes the series into full 3D for first time, adds new ways to manage a society.
2K Games today announced that it is bringing Civilization IV to the unwashed masses--and to the washed masses, too. Starting tomorrow, masses of all manner will be able to buy the latest strategy sim from Sid Meier, as it is at this moment on its way to North American retailers (a European release is planned for November 4).
Where previous installments of the series won acclaim for letting players take a civilization from the cradle to the grave (or world domination) through ugly warfare or uglier politics, Civilization IV looks to ...

Switchball Review FunnyGames, November 29, 2007The holiday rush means that a lot of games fall by the wayside in favor of more glitzy, big budget affairs. It's a shame, cause a lot of these games are developed by small studios that really don't have a sliver of the marketing might of a big house...and yet, oftentimes their games are just as good if not better! Take for example Switchball, an XBLA game developed by Atomic Elbow.

The following game name list was compiled after hours of lively debate, pages of exhausting science and one actual geek fistfight. During this laborious process, we decided to set up a few basic rules:
1. All games must have been wide releases for legitimate, popular platforms.
