was universally hailed as an innovative switch-up in gaming prior to its launch, and frustrated critics referred to it as a toy once they'd had a chance to see the depth of the title's gameplay. The design of the sequel,
, seems to be a deliberate response to the denouncements leveled at the original game. The result is a more traditional, less open-ended RTS with some identity issues. Despite that, being a god still has as much appeal as it did back in the days of Populous. Read on for impressions of Molyneux's marriage of Nintendogs and Age of Empire:

Fun Home Poker Game Rules - Guts FunnyGames, December 20, 2006I played a lot of poker in high school. That was back in the mid-1970s. Poker for high school students wasn't like it is today. There was no Internet, no televised poker tournaments, and surely no legal poker rooms in New York where I grew up. For high school kids especially, poker was strictly an underground game illegal, forbidden, and compelling. For us it was like smoking cigarettes or drinking beer or smoking pot or getting laid. You wanted to do it because it was forbidden. And it was fun.
A favorite variety of the game back then was guts. We generally played it in the senior room of the high school a private room set aside only for seniors where we got away with playing poker because faculty didn't enter (unless they smelled cigarettes or pot). Small fortunes changed hands over this game. And we were all on very short bankrolls.
Super Mario Party 8 Review FunnyGames, July 9, 2007...Mario Party 8, despite being on the Wii, is almost identical in terms of presentation and scope of the previous installments. It's still a hyper cute, turn-based board game where Mario characters attempt to collect stars, beating out other denizens of the mushroom kingdom. The highlight of these matches comes from the minigames, which have always been the main draw of the Mario Party series. And they're back in full force, with tons of varieties, ranging from 1-on-3, 2-on-2 or free for all battles...
...In the end, Mario Party 8 is a fine choice if you loved the first 7 entries and are dying for more. If you're looking for a change, though, 8 barely offers it in the form of basic motion controls. Other than that, this is kiddie fodder, through and through.
