Funny News: Sonic Rivals 2 Review (PSP)
February 29, 2008: Sonic Rivals 2 Review (PSP)...Sonic Rivals 2 isn't your traditional Sonic game; it's a sort of 2D racing game. The controls are like a high-speed platformer, and the level designs are very much Sonic-style, complete with loops, multiple paths, and speed boosts. But Sonic Rivals 2 just doesn't work as a dynamic racing game. Everyone runs at the same speed, so the only way to gain on the opposition is to use power-ups or take alternate paths. But power-ups are neither entertaining nor very effective (Mario Kart, this ain't), and there aren't that many alternate paths to take...
...There are moments where racing at high speeds and flying through the air might sound exciting, but even these moments are dull. You move fast, but not blistering speed fast. And did I mention that you always race against exactly one opponent? Be still my beating heart...

Crave deals next-gen poker game FunnyGames, March 11, 2006World Championship Poker goes "All In" with Xbox 360, PS2, and PSP versions; new title features mixed games, 18 types of poker.

Crave Entertainment is dealing its World Championship Poker series a third hand. The publisher has announced that World Championship Poker: Featuring Howard Lederer "All In" is currently being developed for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation Portable but has not yet revealed a release date.

Painkiller: Hell Wars review FunnyGames, August 7, 2006
...The single player game takes you through the best missions from the PC game and the expansion pack, and should take you a healthy amount of time to blow through. There's even some replay value, thanks to secret "Dark Tarot" cards that unlock new powers and upgrades.
As far as mindless FPS games go, Painkiller: Hell Wars isn't a bad pickup. It's only 30 bucks, and for folks that haven't picked up the 360, it's one of the few new FPS games you'll be seeing for some time.
