Funny News: Enemy Territory: Quake Wars Preview
July 9, 2007: Enemy Territory: Quake Wars Preview...Quake Wars takes the Earth vs Strogg conflict seen in the second and fourth Quake games and fills out the backstory. While those previous games had you taking on the Strogg on their own planet, this one goes back to when the Strogg first invaded Earth. Now, for the first time, you'll play as a full-on Strogg soldier or as a GDF defender and will battle it out for control of the planet...
...The game is being created by UK developer Splash Damage under the watchful eye of id Software; previously, Splash Damage was simply a mod team, but later on they got the chance put together the multiplayer mode for Return to Castle Wolfenstein and then created the very popular free online shooter Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. Pinball Hall of Fame Wii Reviewed FunnyGames, May 21, 2008...Just like in a real pinball arcade, there is not much to do in Pinball: Hall of Fame besides walking up and down the halls and picking your table of choice. Only this time, you don’t have to put your quarter on the rim of the machine to stake your claim. For a change of pace, you can enter a Pinball tournament or take on the Williams challenge, tackling table after blinker-bedazzled table as you strive to beat the ever more difficult goal scores. Essentially, though, it is just more pinball playing. As an extra, you can view the flyers sent to tantalize arcade owners with the money they would make from all the greasy little teenagers plunking their quarters into the bright and shiny boxes of the likes of "Taxi" and "Sorcerer"...

...The game was originally scheduled to be released during the 2006 holiday season, but it officially backed into 2007 at X06. Its predecessor, 2005's Forza Motorsport for the original Xbox, was also a victim of backpedaling release dates, finally making it off the lot six months after its initial launch date.
In addition, speed racers know not only when they will be driving but also what they will be driving. The Forza team unveiled the final list of 300-plus cars featured in the game, considerably more than the 230-car roster of the original Forza. The list is likely to grow, as downloadable content is expected through Xbox Live Marketplace and the Forza Online Auction House...
