July 9, 2007: Enemy Territory: Quake Wars Preview...Quake Wars takes the Earth vs Strogg conflict seen in the second and fourth Quake games and fills out the backstory. While those previous games had you taking on the Strogg on their own planet, this one goes back to when the Strogg first invaded Earth. Now, for the first time, you'll play as a full-on Strogg soldier or as a GDF defender and will battle it out for control of the planet...
...The game is being created by UK developer Splash Damage under the watchful eye of id Software; previously, Splash Damage was simply a mod team, but later on they got the chance put together the multiplayer mode for Return to Castle Wolfenstein and then created the very popular free online shooter Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. MLB 07: The Show (PS3) FunnyGames, May 28, 2007...The new tweaks in the game go from bland to broken to pretty awesome. Pitchers get a new feature with a fancy name adaptive pitching intelligence. What is this space-age George Jetson gadgetry? Suggested pitches. While standing on the mound, the game suggests a pitch to you it's not cumbersome or annoying, but it is not really as interesting as its name.
Also more sparkle than substance is the online game. Sony has considerably beefed up its online offerings, building in league play that can simulate a season with up to thirty online players, and updating rosters through the season. But the actual games themselves are spotty and laggy and that is the death knoll for a game that relies so heavily upon timing...

The most recent entry in the Harry Potter pantheon of games takes advantage of ever-advancing game technology to offer several exciting new features. First, the game takes its cue from Grand Theft Auto, Bully and other popular games of the last couple of years, and offers a fully-immersive "sandbox" experience, allowing players to fully roam throughout 85 locations in Hogwarts, as well as the Ministry of Magic and other places.
The game seems tailor-made for the Wii, as spellcasting now requires more dexterity to execute the precise movements necessary to get one's magic on. "Discovery Points" allow players to advance through the plot of the game, and it's rumored that, in addition to Harry, playable versions of Sirius Black and Dumbledore will be available. In all, more than 60 missions and interaction with over 90 characters are promised.
