Funny News: Unreal Tournament 3 Review
November 29, 2007: Unreal Tournament 3 ReviewUnreal Tournament 3 uses Unreal Engine 3, the same basic set of tools that powered Gears of War. As such, this is a really great-looking game on high-end machines. But even if your PC isn't top of the line, the game scales better than most, giving you a playable experience on midrange machines as well. But, of course, the game is at its best when you're exceeding the game's minimum requirements, in situations where you can run at a high resolution and still get a great frame rate. It supports widescreen resolutions, but playing in widescreen actually gives you a smaller view of the overall action, given that the game appears to cut off the top and bottom of the 4:3 view to fit it onto a wider monitor. UT3 certainly isn't the first PC game to have this problem, but given its highly competitive nature, cutting off parts of the screen seems to be a pretty bad solution...

Ms. Pac Man Review FunnyGames, January 17, 2007Ms. Pac-Man is the lady-friendly follow-up to Pac-Man. It's the same basic dot-chomping, maze-navigating concept, but it's expanded. There are now multiple mazes, the fruit hops around, and the cutscenes are slightly more elaborate. Oh, and Ms. Pac-Man has a bow on her head. Like the other Namco releases for Xbox Live Arcade, Ms. Pac-Man is a straight-up emulation of the original game with no additions beyond an online scoreboard, some achievements, and colorful side graphics that surround the emulation. If the idea of a bare-bones emulation of Ms. Pac-Man sounds like it's worth five bucks to you, then you're in luck. But the standards for Xbox Live Arcade are a bit higher than what this game offers...
The Bad: Very plain presentation with no meaningful additions to the original game; unresponsive controls.
The Good: Talking about this game opens up a world of potential Wayne's World quotes.

Rock Band Review FunnyGames, November 29, 2007
Overall, Rock Band is a great game that will please many a music fan. The available songs and the vast amount of promised downloadable songs in the future will ensure that you play this for a long time to come. And having friends over to play Band World Tour, especially if they get into character as they do so, just leads to many memorable nights of gaming. If a second iteration of the series fixes the issues with the hardware and the minor presentation issues mentioned earlier, the game will be even better than it already is. As things stand, this is still a definite pickup, especially if you have three friends to split the cost with...
