...While most fighters are primarily multiplayer centric, Tekken Dark Resurrection for the PSP offers up a healthy single player game component that should keep you playing when there are no friends online to be found. Story mode remains, as you're able to play as every character in a series of nine Tekken battles to learn everyone's backstory. Even cooler, each of these ends with a high quality FMV to close out the game story. Some of these are pretty standard, cool poses, lots of explosions and so forth. The best, though are the ones that don't take themselves too seriously. Seeing Panda in this game as the leader of a multinational corporation getting proposed to by Kuma the bear may be worth the price of admission on its own...

Unreal Tournament 3 Review FunnyGames, November 29, 2007Unreal Tournament 3 uses Unreal Engine 3, the same basic set of tools that powered Gears of War. As such, this is a really great-looking game on high-end machines. But even if your PC isn't top of the line, the game scales better than most, giving you a playable experience on midrange machines as well. But, of course, the game is at its best when you're exceeding the game's minimum requirements, in situations where you can run at a high resolution and still get a great frame rate. It supports widescreen resolutions, but playing in widescreen actually gives you a smaller view of the overall action, given that the game appears to cut off the top and bottom of the 4:3 view to fit it onto a wider monitor. FaceBreaker (XboX) FunnyGames, July 4, 2008Overall, we had a lot of fun with FaceBreaker. The controls are simple and easy to pick up, with each character's personality adding extra appeal to the simplified style of boxing presented in the game. But while it may be simple, we picked up on certain areas where strategy is a must. The most notable area is with FaceBreakers. When you use the first or second tier, you'll drop your FaceBreaker meter back to zero. What that does is knock away a substantial portion of your opponent's health, but you'll, then, need to build it back up all over again for the next special move. This adds a fun risk-reward element to the fighting. You're constantly at odds with your instinct to pummel your opponent as savagely as you can right at that moment, but in the back of your head, you know you can guarantee yourself a victory if you patiently build that FaceBreaker gauge all the way up to the top.
