August 7, 2006: Super Mario Galaxy - Wii preview...We don't know much about the back story yet. Heck, even 'Super Mario Galaxy' is just a working title, and with Nintendo's recent working title track record, expect a much less compelling moniker to grace the final game. Is the word Galaxy too threatening for us terrestrial types?...
...Even simple Mario jumping is a little different, since (so far) there aren't a whole lot of walls and barriers. Instead of the 3D worlds of Mario 64 and Sunshine, Galaxy's planets are largely open spaces with some occasional stuff to climb on - more like the 2D worlds of classic Mario, in other words...
...'Fresh' is a word I love to apply to a twenty year-old franchise. It's a bit early to proclaim that Super Mario Galaxy will be Mario's Metroid Prime, but no other game has done as much to sell me on the Wii as Mario's, still sexy after all these years..

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars FunnyGames, February 10, 2006UK developer Splash Damage is a pioneer in multiplayer gaming, even if most of the thousands of online FPS players have never heard of them. These are the guys that developed the multiplayer portion of Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, the Activision title that was released for free a few years ago. Activision pulled a wonderful PR move in releasing this as a stand-alone game, and it's been a favorite of many FPS gamers since.
Now, Splash Damage is getting their chance to make their own multiplayer game that's not just intended to be tacked onto something else. Enemy Territory: Quake Wars combines Splash Damage's unique brand of FPS action with the sci-fi world of Quake to make something that's truly unique. The team at Splash Damage is still largely a bunch of modmakers without true retail game experience.
Beautiful Katamari Reviewed FunnyGames, October 29, 2007
Who the heck would have thought a game where you just roll a ball around picking up stuff would be such a gigantic success? Well, the Katamari Damacy series has become a favorite. It is a fun and easy to pick up game, is colorful, has awesome music and, best of all, comes at a budget price.
Really, Beautiful Katamari plays a lot like the other games in the series. Though, to be honest, I found some things harder to control with the 360 thumbsticks being at different horizontal planes on the controller. Being offset like that made it harder (at least for me) to do things like the dash and quick turns. Even if you're very used to the PS2 version, though, it won't be too hideously hard to shift over to the 360 controller for this one...
