December 20, 2006: Poker king Hachem wins in VegasAaustralian poker king Joe Hachem has pocketed nearly $3 million after winning the world's second biggest poker tournament. His victory at the Bellagio Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, earned him US$2.2 million ($2.8 million), reports The Australian newspaper.
He's very emotional, very humble and over the moon, brother Tony Hachem said.
The 39-year-old from Melbourne shocked the poker world last year by winning the main event of the World Series of Poker, pocketing $10 million.
He's a true-blue Aussie and everyone wants to take him on, his brother said.
But he's beaten the best players in America, some of whom have playing the game for 40 years.
He will play in the $US10 million Poker Stars Caribbean Adventure in the Bahamas next week before returning for the Australian World Series at Melbourne's Crown casino.

But thanks to the inevitable collision of reclusive nerds, bizarre artists and painfully unhip marketing execs, the video game industry enjoys some of the worst game names of all.
The following game name list was compiled after hours of lively debate, pages of exhausting science and one actual geek fistfight. During this laborious process, we decided to set up a few basic rules:

Ridge Racer 7 Game FunnyGames, September 5, 2006
Although no official launch date has been set, odds are that Bandai Namco Game's next Ridge Racer title will be one of the PlayStation 3's launch titles. The game reunites the team of director Masaya Kobayashi and associate producer Hideo Teramoto that gave us Ridge Racers for the PSP and Ridge Racer 6 on the Xbox 360. The September 15 issue of Weekly Famitsu provided a few details on some of the new modes of play that will be found in the Ridge Racer 7.
The meat of the game in the single-player experience will be the sprawling Ridge State Grand Prix. Set in the fictional nation of Ridge State, the player will begin as an unknown racer, but will gradually earn fame, new machines, and customization parts by winning races and building ties with manufacturers. The mode will have 44 courses, including mirror courses, and will span roughly 160 individual races.
