Funny News: Ms. Pac Man Review
January 17, 2007: Ms. Pac Man ReviewMs. Pac-Man is the lady-friendly follow-up to Pac-Man. It's the same basic dot-chomping, maze-navigating concept, but it's expanded. There are now multiple mazes, the fruit hops around, and the cutscenes are slightly more elaborate. Oh, and Ms. Pac-Man has a bow on her head. Like the other Namco releases for Xbox Live Arcade, Ms. Pac-Man is a straight-up emulation of the original game with no additions beyond an online scoreboard, some achievements, and colorful side graphics that surround the emulation. If the idea of a bare-bones emulation of Ms. Pac-Man sounds like it's worth five bucks to you, then you're in luck. But the standards for Xbox Live Arcade are a bit higher than what this game offers...
The Bad: Very plain presentation with no meaningful additions to the original game; unresponsive controls.
The Good: Talking about this game opens up a world of potential Wayne's World quotes.

Back when Chris Moneymaker and Daniel Negreanu were still in diapers, draw poker was the game du jour and Southern California's card rooms were its thriving epicenter. These days, one is more likely to hear the phrase "draw is dead." Lucky us. We caught a glimpse of Lucasarts' next-gen Indiana Jones game. The plot is still a mystery, heck the game isn't scheduled to be released even remotely soon, but we did witness a super cool tech demo at E3 to whet our appetites.
As we've reported before, the game utilizes the Euphoria engine...which promises to advance video game character animations into realms we previously could only dream about.
In the demo we watched, Indy was standing on a cable car that was racing downhill through San Francisco's old-time Chinatown. Villains were coming from everywhere, from inside the cable car and also jumping onto the roof from other cars...
