Funny News: Gothic 3 preview
August 14, 2006: Gothic 3 preview...Although we probably only saw the tip of the iceberg of this game, the graphics looked wonderful. The Unnamed Hero was bad, big and wore very cool armor. His fire spells in the game featured some sizzling effects and the environments were alive with atmospheric details, like uppity humans hanging from poles. This is not like the Final Fantasy game.
Rather, it’s the third game in a series we’ve only just become acquainted with, and can’t wait to get to know the game better. With its good looks, fascinating racial dynamics, intense action and absolute freedom, Gothic 3 game will let us unleash both our inner wusses and bullies when the game hits the shelves in November 2006.

Guitar Hero On Tour Review FunnyGames, July 4, 2008...Multiplayer is similarly full-featured, though On Tour only allows for local wireless play. Fans hoping to rock out over Nintendo's WFC will have to wait for the reunion tour. Available multiplayer modes include all of the most recent favorites: face-off, pro face-off (same as face-off, except difficulty levels must be the same for both players), co-op and guitar duel...
...Single player Guitar Duel has a level progression unto itself, a sort of Career mode alternative. Career's band-building storyline is absent here, replaced with a series of face-offs which pit players against NPC opponents. The songs and setlists are all the same across both modes, but Career and Guitar Duel both have to be opened up separately...

Finding new sports for Mario Bros to take up is getting seriously tricky. Let's see what out favorite Italian stereotype has left to play, shall we? How about "Mario Angling"? That might be fun, but we'll save that one for the Wii-mote. "Donkey Kong Zorbing"? Nah, too much like Super Monkey Ball. Ok, got it: "Princess Peach Buzkashi Party". See how the word "party" makes it all seem more fun and accessible? ...
...One last problem in the presentation is how much time Super Mario Hoops spends in transition after every basket. It takes a while to load and skip replays, bogging down otherwise quick gameplay. After you've waited through your hundredth highlight, you'll want to just be able to turn replays off. And hey! Guess what? You can't.
But you can always turn on the "rent" option. Super Mario Bros Hoops is a decent, little game that's a bit too decent and way too little. It's good for a laugh or two, but it fails to capture the fast-paced fun factor of previous Mario sports titles. Super Mario Bros Caber Toss, here I come!
