Funny News: Super Mario Party 8 Review
July 9, 2007: Super Mario Party 8 Review...Mario Party 8, despite being on the Wii, is almost identical in terms of presentation and scope of the previous installments. It's still a hyper cute, turn-based board game where Mario characters attempt to collect stars, beating out other denizens of the mushroom kingdom. The highlight of these matches comes from the minigames, which have always been the main draw of the Mario Party series. And they're back in full force, with tons of varieties, ranging from 1-on-3, 2-on-2 or free for all battles...
...In the end, Mario Party 8 is a fine choice if you loved the first 7 entries and are dying for more. If you're looking for a change, though, 8 barely offers it in the form of basic motion controls. Other than that, this is kiddie fodder, through and through.

Super Mario Galaxy - Wii preview FunnyGames, August 7, 2006...We don't know much about the back story yet. Heck, even 'Super Mario Galaxy' is just a working title, and with Nintendo's recent working title track record, expect a much less compelling moniker to grace the final game. Is the word Galaxy too threatening for us terrestrial types?...
...Even simple Mario jumping is a little different, since (so far) there aren't a whole lot of walls and barriers. Instead of the 3D worlds of Mario 64 and Sunshine, Galaxy's planets are largely open spaces with some occasional stuff to climb on - more like the 2D worlds of classic Mario, in other words...
...'Fresh' is a word I love to apply to a twenty year-old franchise. It's a bit early to proclaim that Super Mario Galaxy will be Mario's Metroid Prime, but no other game has done as much to sell me on the Wii as Mario's, still sexy after all these years..

Poker king Hachem wins in Vegas FunnyGames, December 20, 2006
Aaustralian poker king Joe Hachem has pocketed nearly $3 million after winning the world's second biggest poker tournament. His victory at the Bellagio Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, earned him US$2.2 million ($2.8 million), reports The Australian newspaper.
He's very emotional, very humble and over the moon, brother Tony Hachem said.
The 39-year-old from Melbourne shocked the poker world last year by winning the main event of the World Series of Poker, pocketing $10 million.
He's a true-blue Aussie and everyone wants to take him on, his brother said.
But he's beaten the best players in America, some of whom have playing the game for 40 years.
He will play in the $US10 million Poker Stars Caribbean Adventure in the Bahamas next week before returning for the Australian World Series at Melbourne's Crown casino.
