And the Xbox 360 can be put on the list of platforms with a Hold 'Em game - Tikgames' Texas Hold 'Em for the Live Arcade has just launched on Microsoft's powerhouse console, and while you'll find the graphics to be anything but impressive, the online play is better. Sure, the chat system over your headset works for all players at all times, but you're still missing one of three main tools a poker player needs to win: the math, the betting habits of his opponents, and the "tells" those opponents give. Sure, you can use the first two, but just like any online poker game, it's not as much fun without the poker face...

EA puts Sadler on NASCAR racing covers FunnyGames, July 3, 2006NASCAR driver Elliott Sadler has always been into games, but now he's on one. Electronic Arts today announced that Sadler will grace the cover for its upcoming NASCAR 07 on the Xbox and the PlayStation 2, as well as NASCAR on the PSP.
"I'm thrilled that EA has chosen me as their cover athlete for the game this year," said Sadler, who has been involved with the gaming franchise for years. "I've been a big fan of this game for a while now and play it as often as I can whether I'm on the road or at home."

For older gamers with fond memories of the gems that graced our consoles (and computers) in the 80s and 90s, Xbox Live has been a dream come true. Retro titles that may otherwise been impossible to find, have slowly been popping up on Microsofts service boasting interesting new features and enhanced graphics. Last weeks release of the Bitmap Brothers classic take on the future of sports, Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe is no exception. In addition to sporting more teams in league play, some light RPG elements, and new enhanced graphics, also on the table is multiplayer support over Xbox Live. For fans of retro gaming it rarely gets better than this.
Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe is one of those fun pick up and play games that doesn't require memorization of a lot of controls or is bound by overly complex rules. As one of two teams your goal, quite simply, is to throw a ball into the goal to score. Points are also garnered by injuring players, hitting targets around the arena, and collecting powerups that can give a much needed boost during some later frantic league matches.
