If Duke Nukem Forever can teach us anything, it's that long development times are not always good for a game. The same can be said for the much-vaunted Valve and its ongoing vaporware, Team Fortress 2. It was with this in mind that Valve decided to go in a different direction than anyone else in the industry. Rather than spending three or four years working on 20-hour long epics, they would instead focus on episodic content. The games are shorter, to be sure, but the smaller scope and speedier development times allow them to put out quality titles once every six months, rather than once every few years.

Streets of Rage 2 Review FunnyGames, September 4, 2007While the original Streets of Rage always stood in the shadow of Capcom's genre-defining Final Fight, Sega's homegrown beat-'em-up series really came into its own with Streets of Rage 2. Released two years after the original, Streets of Rage 2 offered markedly refined gameplay and improved presentation, both technically and stylistically. The game was released on the Wii Virtual Console earlier this year, and now it's on Xbox Live Arcade with a few new bells and whistles...
...While there were minor differences between the three playable characters in the original Streets of Rage, they're much more pronounced here. Rumor: 2 Gran Turismo race games for PS3? FunnyGames, October 1, 2006... Rumor: The interview allegedly says that the Gran Turismo debut on the PlayStation 3 will come in two forms, one called Gran Turismo HD: Premium and one called Gran Turismo HD: Classic.
Premium will feature "the full graphics power of the PS3" and include 30 cars and two courses, with the option to buy more of each later. There will allegedly be one mode--a casual racing mode--that doesn't include the typical GT gameplay of winning races and acquiring cars and medals.
