May 13, 2006: Spyhunter 2 E3 2003 Preshow ReportSpy Hunter 2 is the follow-up to 2001’s highly popular driving action game SpyHunter, and it will be shown at Midway’s E3 booth this year. The game is set to feature numerous gameplay improvements over its predecessor, as well as a host of new missions, enemies, and weapons. You will once again assume the role of Alec Sects, still fighting the evil forces of Nostra via your technologically advanced Interceptor. Now, however, Alec will have a partner in a sexy female agent whose background is shrouded in mystery. With the aid of this enigmatic agent and Leonie 2.0, an upgraded version of the Interceptor’s online computer, you will take on Nostra’s forces in fast-paced, action-packed driving combat...
Spy Hunter 2 will feature a brand-new G-8155 Interceptor, complete with upgraded transformations, snow and off-road capabilities, and a new advanced weapon and equipment system that allows you to customize the vehicle with weaponry to suit your personal style of play. Back when Chris Moneymaker and Daniel Negreanu were still in diapers, draw poker was the game du jour and Southern California's card rooms were its thriving epicenter. These days, one is more likely to hear the phrase "draw is dead." However, with the addition of 5 card draw ring games on Poker Stars and other rooms, this old-fashioned form of poker is gaining new life online.

...The game does follow the movie's plot loosely, but you'll find that the missions you need to do are generally less exciting than in the movie due to the rather dull action sequences. From playing as the Autobot Bumblebee whose mission is to protect Mikaela and Sam (and his great-grandfather's glasses that have the encoded location of the "Allspark" on them) to just plain destroying half of a city as a Decepticon, the events in the game do follow the movie but are decidedly more disjointed and often have you doing things repeatedly just so that the overall length of the game is increased...
...Transformers does have a few redeeming moments, like when you get to play as Scorponok, but there are just way too many long stretches of mediocrity for me to be able to recommend this one. The PS3 version looks great in screenshots, but it plays like a budget game and yet still sports the full $59.99 price tag....
